De KDB Cup gaat in zee met Roc Nation Sports. Dit is een onderdeel van het Amerikaanse marketing en mediabureau Roc Nation, dat naast Kevin De Bruyne ook Romelu Lukaku en Axel Witsel onder zijn vleugels heeft. Dit nieuws werd wereldkundig gemaakt in dit gezamenlijk persbericht:
Roc Nation Sports partners with KDB Cup to support top youth soccer tournament
The Kevin De Bruyne Cup is delighted to announce that Roc Nation Sports is a new partner of the KDB Cup. Through this sponsorship, Roc Nation Sports will invest in the KDB Cup to help youth soccer flourish in Belgium and throughout Europe, and to ensure the continued growth of the tournament. The partnership between Roc Nation Sports and KDB Cup will span through 2021.
The KDB Cup’s vision has always been ‘organizing a professional U15 top youth soccer tournament together with a very important social goal in bringing people together in the community’. The KDB Cup is the top youth U15 soccer tournament in Europe. For it’s now 4th edition there will be playing FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, … With these top teams competing against one another, the KDB Cup will have the best talent in Europe coming to Ghent, Belgium.
Roc Nation Sports launched in 2013, with the goal of supporting athletes in all elements of their career. In a similar vein, KDB Cup makes it possible for young athletes to focus on their tasks on the pitch, while building a supportive atmosphere off it. KDB Cup aims to prepare these young athletes in the most professional sportive way when they compete with other young top athletes.
Last year, KDB Cup had the honour of having Pep Guardiola, Kevin’s coach at Man City, visit the tournament. This year, we’ll have Roberto Martinez and several Red Flames visiting the cup, and more.
