Which team will succeed Chelsea FC in the fifth edition of the international youth tournament U15 in Drongen?
Unlike the major European football tournaments of the Europa League and the Champions League - of which the final phase was held in Germany and Portugal - the Covid-19 pandemic meant that no top football was possible in Drongen on 30 and 31 May. However, there was a strong field of participants: RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge KV, Chelsea FC, PSV Eindhoven, KRC Genk, KAA Gent, Real Madrid CF, Manchester City FC, Borussia Mönchengladbach, SE Palmeiras, PSG and Tottenham.
But, of course, postponement is not a cancellation. For mainly sporting and organisational reasons, it was decided to change the original date from 22-23 May 2021 (Whitsun weekend) to the weekend of 29-30 May 2021. Make a note of this football spectacle in your diary, as a warm-up for the - also postponed - European Championship from 11 June to 11 July 2021 all over Europe.
