Entry tickets, drinks and food can now be paid with Payconiq or with one of the following payment cards: Maestro, Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Vpay, Sodexo, Edenred, Monizze.
Jeroen Verhille, tournament leader, explains that choice clearly. "We do this for several reasons. First of all, it's more secure. There's no more cash going around the grounds, so it can't be stolen.
Second, it is more hygienic. The corona crisis has made everyone used to digital payments. Because even money that goes from hand to hand can contain viruses and infect people. Moreover, up to 50 euros you can pay contactless with the bank card, so you don't even have to touch the keys anymore.
Finally, this way we can charge the right prices without having to round up."
