Here they are: the first six teams of KDB Cup 2025

Once again no shortage of football talent in Drongen

Drongen is eager for another KDB Cup! The eighth edition of the prestigious youth tournament promises to be another spectacle. We are therefore delighted to announce the first six participating clubs.

Top of European youth football

In its eighth edition, the KDB Cup once again counts on top national and international teams to add colour to the tournament and provide youth football of the highest order. Among others, FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC are once again in attendance.

They are joined by Dutch PSV Eindhoven and German Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Finally, we can also confirm RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge as Belgian participants for the KDB Cup 2025.

Familiar Belgian faces

They are by now regulars at the KDB Cup. At the Cup in 2025 RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge KV once again show what their U15 teams have to offer. While the Bruggelings may be hoping for a first final after their 2024 MVP award with Gianluca Okon, this participation could yield a second win for purple-white. Both teams have already produced some pros who once took to the fields in Drongen.

Barça a fourth or Chelsea a second?

In addition to RSCA and Club Brugge, we also welcome former winners FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC back to our tournament with great enthusiasm. The Spanish team are among the favourites every year with the La Masia football philosophy, while Chelsea are in any case keen to do better than 12th place in 2024. It is with great pleasure that we will host both top European teams again.

Two national champions

Finally, we get to enjoy two less frequent KDB Cup visitors during this year's edition. Both PSV Eindhoven as Bayer 04 Leverkusen show domestically that their respective first teams have a lot of talent. Just think of Johan Bakayoko, who won the 2018 KDB Cup with Anderlecht alongside Roméo Lavia, Zeno Debast, Mario Stroeykens and Kazeem Olaigbe, among others. Can the Dutch or German U15 run away with the overall victory this year?
